![]() ![]() You must disable audio monitoring in order to hear recordings. If you want to get a good signal, the green bar should fill about 3/4 of the meter. You can check the signal strength by looking up on the track right of the way. If you already have an audio device and a track, you can start recording with Ableton. To hear your guitar on Ableton, you must first enable monitoring. When the guitar is plugged in or the microphone is turned on, a green bar appears to indicate how much input level the guitar has. You can rename a track, select a color, or insert new audio or MIDI tracks by right-clicking on it. We use audio tracks when recording guitars, basses, drums, or vocals. If your buffer is too low, you may hear glitches, so make sure it is as low as possible. You can track the amount of latency (delay) you hear during a recording by measuring the buffer length. This is where you establish the audio interface for Ableton. Go to the Audio tab of the Options menu and press Ctrl (or comma).
